Our Story and What We Believe
Happyness was founded in 2023, in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, as a natural consequence of the personal growth journey of its founder, Laura Rezende.
As Laura began sharing her reflections on purpose and balance, she started attracting people with similar stories: successful professionals who felt emotionally drained and unfulfilled.

What once seemed like a personal experience revealed itself as a collective one.
We live in a time when success is measured by productivity and results that are often unsustainable and lack true meaning — both individually and organizationally. Add to that the constant comparison fueled by social media and the growing anxiety driven by environmental, economic, and geopolitical uncertainty.
The impact is global. According to the World Health Organization (2025 and 2021), about 332 million people live with depression and 359 million struggle with anxiety worldwide.
Happyness emerged as a movement that combines science, practice, and humanity, helping people and organizations redefine what it means to live well — achieving meaningful transformation and sustainable results from the inside out.
How We Bring Happiness to Practice
We are a global human development company, operating remotely and bilingually (English and Portuguese), bringing the science of happiness to individuals and organizations across the world.
We support those seeking purpose-driven growth, combining well-being, authenticity, and sustainable performance.
Our programs, courses, and talks apply principles of Positive Psychology (PERMA model) and Emotional Intelligence, translating science into practical, evidence-based actions.
Our mission:
to make happiness tangible, achievable, and part of everyday life.
Our pillars: applied science, compassion, self-responsability, and micro-revolutions — small daily changes that transform the way we live and work.

Happyness Day:
Happiness in Practice

In March 2025, to celebrate the International Day of Happiness, we hosted the first Happyness Day — an online immersion designed to bring the science of happiness closer to people’s lives.
Created by Laura Rezende and co-led with Brazilian psychologist Adriana Carvalho Ferrarezi, the event featured speakers from Brazil, Ireland, and Canada, with support from BASF, Instituto Bem do Estar, Querida Sanidade, and Carol Milters.
A full day of learning and connection, rich discussions on well-being, purpose, and self-awareness.
The experience received overwhelmingly positive feedback, confirming its impact: Happyness Day became a catalyst for mental health and authentic human connection.

Happyness Manifesto
Life…some people call it a race. Us… journey! Because differently from a race that we aim to win by crossing the finish line, we believe we can be winners during the process, in the path.
We don’t run against the clock, despite constantly feeling pressured by it. We walk as time passes and use it for our benefit.
And speaking of pressure, so much we have been feeling under, right? It is the unachievable goals, the unrealistic expectations, the comparison on social media, and the superficial relationships. And do you know what all these points have in common? Their origin: the external! The world outside our grip, that we cannot control, many times, is controlling us.
And that is the reason we were born—so through coaching services, mentoring programs, and training, we remind everyone that the answers are not on the outside. Success and a flourishing life are not found in the job title you have, in the money you make, but in the balanced routine, in your calling being lived, and in the happiness we build.
Happyness - build your own.
